Your denotation and connotation work shows you understand the basics of media communication and how deeper meanings are created – keep building on this!   EBI: The challenge now is to make sure we are publishing all the work set and writing in more depth and detail as the course continues. As the year goes on, you will be writing in much more detail on the connotations created and focusing less on denotation. You are also missing a couple of things – the first 10 questions task from when we first set up blogs and also the second part of the denotation and connotation work where you had to analyse your own choice of adver

There was 3 different camera shots 1.wide shot  2.close up 3.over the shoulder  The birds eye view was good when they where sending the call out for the doctor.The signal repeated whilst the camera shot went into a birds eye view. The camera angle changed the atmosphere .  At 3:31 there is a low angle shot to show that he is helpless in that situation. He is running around frantically hoping that their plan doesn't fail. Therefore a low angle shot is sued to convey this as he is "weak" in this situation. The man had clothes on so you could tell he was at work with the type of  clothes he had on. The connotations of setting this has one the audience is that the audience can tell that this is set in a time travel-like place. You can tell that in the show it is placed in a time of the present, future, past and everything in between.  

  Denotation: In this image there is a coca.cola bottle.There is also a ladybug.There are words written in white saying "open a coke,open happiness". Connotation: The coke bottle looks refreshing and cold since there is drops of water dripping down the bottle.

connotation Lighting The dark lights create a scary scene. There was a jump scare to make the scary effect.At the start of the video there was flashing lights making an eerie atmosphere. Setting The setting was in a forest when we got to the middle of the video.At the start of the video there was 4 boys in a basement plying a game.The basement was dark.  Actor placement/movement/expression In the video there was a boy running into the lift with a serious facial expression.At the start the boys where very focus when they where playing there game.   Costume The clothes the man had on suggested he was at work.The boys had normal cloths on.

(Radio, TV, phone etc.) phone 7) What device do you use most to access the media? laptop 9) Why was the casting of Jodie Whittaker a significant moment in the history of Doctor Who? because it was interesting 10) What aspects of this scene do you think an audience might enjoy? List at least three things and explain why the audience would enjoy each aspect.

    Denotation:  In this image there is a young boy from the village with a serious expression. There is 4 words written in white saying "dig toilets not graves" in front of a stony affect behind it. Connotation: The connotation of the boy's facial expression is that he is sad because he doesn't have access to clean water.The background might suggest that the country is developing.The background also looks like a village. Analysis:   Water-Aid  wants the audience to feel sorry for the children who does not have access to clean water. Giving them access to clean water have save there lives.
